Sometimes easier said than done. I fought with a problem with ntpd on
Linux for days on end multiple times over the course of months. No
matter what i did, ntpd on Linux would not synchronize from a Windows
NTP server. It rejected the server for no reason i could coax out of it,
despite concerted effort on my part. So i switched to OpenNTPD, and i
have had no problems since then. Trying something else is a perfectly
valid solution.
