heya, i am setting up a webstore and i want to have a good balance of security and configurability for whatever software i settle on using. i've read on this list that there are security issues with many scripting languages (php, python, perl, etc.). since i don't have the time to script the store from scratch (in which case i would try RonR), i want to use an existing piece of webstore software. these stores are usually written in some scripting language, but different software use different scripting languages.
are there any particular scripting languages i should steer clear of when choosing my software? does anybody have a particular piece of webstore software they can recommend as being a reasonably secure? feel free to contact me off-list if you don't feel like sharing your webstore platform. thx for reading. cheers, jake
