You didn't update xbase when you updated to 7.2. Re-run the 7.2 installer (probably "boot /bsd.rd" at the boot loader prompt) and do another upgrade install to 7.2 selecting all sets, then run pkg_add -u, before installing new packages. -- Please keep replies on the mailing list.
