I'd assume that varies depending on the exact hardware in your machine and the amount of memory saved to disk. Sometimes I've noticed that unhibernating takes a couple of minutes if I had a lot of tabs open in a browser or something, but it doesn't bother me that much. Otherwise, I don't have the expertise in C to continue a meaningful discussion about this. All I really did was search misc@ and grep the source code.
