We have quite a few NICs that are based on the RTL8125, which uses the rge driver on OpenBSD. These have been stable for a number of releases and haven't caused any problems, (for us). Specifically, cards such as the ST2GPEX that use this chip are fairly inexpensive, and several of those are in daily use here. Wake on lan also works, by the way.
