The way to get anything done here -- changing code, adding or removing --
is to submit a patch that does what you want to do, along with some explanation
of why your proposed changes may be useful.

Doing that will at least demonstrate that you have the ability to contribute.

Do the work, and see what happens.

And for the next time around, it would be helpful if you choose a message 
subject
that describes at least a little what the "question" is about.
