would ruin the amazing experience of using a window manager that has
virtually remained unchanged for 25 years.
I use FVWM (from base, not ports) because it doesn't get in my way and
is largely hassle-free. It just works. Once customized it's quite
functional. Is it an amazing experience? Who can say? Does any WM
provide an amazing experience?

In order to determine how many people use the version of FVWM included
in the base system, we would need to poll the OpenBSD user base. I bet
it's a minority, which is not good. What's the point of including window
managers in the base system if almost no one uses them? I doubt many
people would use OpenBSD's default window manager if it were changed to
CTWM. However, at least CTWM is still being maintained [1].
