You can get a working framebuffer with EDK2 over HDMI. Have you tested it already? I see there is prebuilt EDK2 binaries here: https://github.com/edk2-porting/edk2-rk3588/releases/tag/v1.1 AFAIR you need to use an offset for dd-ing the image, but maybe it is not necessary anymore.
