Not directly, I have used images with a set of hostname.xx0 all telling the first interface to use dhcp/autoconf and this one image would work on all machines for which I had prepared such hostname files and it didn't visibly complain about the "missing" interfaces, they just don't get called if that interface doesn't exist from what I understand. -- May the most significant bit of your life be positive.
