Hi Alex, thank for the insight.

It's a H1, but they make a white one and a black one; mine is the white. It has firmware 2/10, which seems to be the latest to download at https://www.zoom.co.jp/node/54#downloads - the H1 is discontinued: https://zoomcorp.com/en/us/handheld-recorders/handheld-recorders/h1/ I "upgraded" anyway (from 2.10 to 2.10). > > rsnd/1: 48000Hz, s16le, play 0:1, rec 0:1, 16 blocks of 480 frames > ^^^^^^^^^^^ > > sndiod is still using 48kHz. I guess I will stick to using the H1 @ 48k (which I preffer anyway). > My guess is that the device tries to force 44.1kHz, but doesn't do it > correctly. I believe this is not sndiod'd fault: it does what it does according to what the device tells it, and it says 48k even if I have clearly chosen 44k. > What's the version of the firmware? FWIW, mine says its v1.19. We must have a different make then. (Do you have the black one?) Jan
