Before I started this thread I checked the user manual that came with this
hardware and it says under FAQ #5 which asks/states: "What does it mean when
the LED on the device flashes?" Answer: "The LED light is ON means the flash
drive has been successfully connected to the computer. The LED light flashes
means there is data transfer going on between the USB drive and the computer."

Would you call a blink of LED with a period of 3 seconds a flashing? I sorta
do, although a very retarded flashing.. one thing I haven't tried out is if
the USB drive does this flashing when I'm in open firmware.. will try that
next reboot.

On the thumbdrives I've used a rapid flashing means disk-IO and a
steady slow flashy just means "ready". It's probably just telling you
it's ready.
