labels on used spares not being updated properly after a reconstruct,
and I think re-running the '-i' option was the workaround...
Thanks for the suggestion.
I ended up doing a reinstall and this time left a small rescue
partition on both disks before configuring the remainder as the raid1
device which seems to be working well.
