CPU cache problem with 3.9 ?

Hi *,

I found why my box freezes when booting 3.9 (GENERIC).
I need to disable the CPU cache in the BIOS (PIII 1Ghz).
But, of course, the box is slooooow...
Anybody already had this issue?
