Hi,
I've managed to install 3.9 on my little Compaq laptop, but the keyboard
doesn't work. I installed using com0, hoping that the problem was just
with the boot kernel, but it also doesn't work when booting from the
installed system. It boots all the way to a login prompt, but there is
no keyboard response. It does work at the boot> prompt though.
My dmesg is below. I have been searching the archives for clues, but
haven't found much. The laptop does have a "mouse"-- actually a
trackball integrated into the lid, with buttons on the top (what becomes
the back of the screen when open). It doesn't show up in the dmesg, but
maybe it's interfering with the keyboard somehow. Beyond that, I've got
nothing. :)
Anyone have any hints?
