I believe that the /var/mail/whoever file is needed for more than the mutt package !? Why not: sudo touch /var/mail/whoever sudo chown whoever:whoever /var/mail/whoever sudo chmod 600 /var/mail/whoever It is maybe a simple solution. -- gruesse joerg "joerch" buechner --
