Hi

Two (unrelated) problems with the axe device:

1. Is altq/pf not implemented for USB-Ethernet devices like axe0 ?

I can't get the axe0 device to work with queuing rules of pf:

Device according to dmesg (full dmesg see end of email):
axe0 at uhub0 port 1 configuration 1 interface 0
axe0: Cisco-Linksys USB200M v2, rev 2.00/0.01, addr 2, AX88772, address
00:10:60:06:5e:4d
ukphy0 at axe0 phy 16: Generic IEEE 802.3u media interface, rev. 1: OUI
0x000ec6, model 0x0001

pf.conf part which makes the device unsuable (no packet will flow through
anymore)

# variable substitutions
  internal=axe0
  external=gem0

local_net      = "192.168.100.0/23"
voip_ports     = "{ 5060, 5061 , 9999 >< 20001 }"
voip_tcp     = "{ 5060 5061 }"
voip_server     = "{ xxx.yyy.200.79 xxx.yyy.200.80 xxx.yyy.200.81
xxx.yyy.200.148 }"

altq on $internal cbq bandwidth 3Mb queue { std_in, voip_in, dns_in }

queue std_in    bandwidth 2.6Mb cbq(default)
queue voip_in   bandwidth 220Kb priority 4
queue dns_in    bandwidth 120Kb priority 5

pass out on $internal proto { tcp udp } from any port domain to
$local_net    queue dns_in
pass out on $internal proto tcp from any port $voip_tcp to
$local_net    queue(std_in, voip_in)
pass out on $internal proto udp from any port $voip_ports
to $local_net  queue voip_in
pass out on $internal proto udp from $voip_server to
$local_net port 9999 >< 20001   queue voip_in

queuing on the gem0 device works fine (rules ommited here)
The same pf.conf was actice and nicely working on a different (meanwhile
dead ) machine with rl0 and rl1 IFs

2. after some time the axe0 device gets into a error state (as if
detached, but it isn't):
axe0: usb errors on rx: IOERROR
axe0: usb errors on rx: IOERROR
axe0: at uhub0 port 1 (addr 2) disconnected
ukphy0 detached
axe0 detached
axe0 at uhub0 port 1 configuration 1 interface 0
axe0: Cisco-Linksys USB200M v2, rev 2.00/0.01, addr 2, AX88772, address
00:10:60:06:5e:4d
ukphy0 at axe0 phy 16: Generic IEEE 802.3u media interface, rev. 1: OUI
0x000ec6, model 0x0001

What could cause this? (detaching it by hand doesn't invole the IOERROR
message...)

Greetings & thanks
cmb
