I calculated this number as roughly the upper limit for a 100 MBit/s link. I wanted to make sure that the box doesn't melt down in case someone tries a DDoS against it. In such a case, I'd rather have only "decreasing performance" than falling off the net eg. because routes don't get out anymore. Best, --Toni++
