Having supported Windows environments for a long time I would agree with Joachim. I've never found a good solution to backing up Windows other than ghosting it. I've setup ghost servers using ghost + samba + netbootdisk.com. In this case, I buy a bunch of computers with the same motherboard, configure it the way I want and ghost it. If I need to rebuild the machine, restore an image on it. The users files are on the server as Joachim said.
