Hi Joachim, 

I agree that using a snapshot or waiting 
for a tarball to be available could be an easier
way to upgrade libstc++ to 4.2. 

However, I'm curious to know if libstdc++ can be
compiled with the GCC and binutils, without having to
upgrade the whole system. 

Note that I'm not implicitely seeking technical support
here -- only trying to occupy some spare time learning
how GCC et al can be used or 'misused' in OpenBSD..
