I have the same motherboard and I noticed that devices on the iic bus are not always detected. There is no causal link with acpi, you just happened to see that behavior after enabling acpi but it would have been the same without it.
True, I see now that asbtm is not always found even when acpi is enabled.
I noticed that increasing the delay in sys/dev/pci/nviic.c from 100 to 500 fixes this problem but I haven't took the time to file a bug report yet.
Seems to work here too.
