You might want to post your dmesg (e.g. /var/run/dmesg.boot) OpenBSD 4.3, released today, has many enhancements directly applicable to the Net5501.
We have 4.3 running on a rackmount model from KD85, and subjectively it "feels" much faster than my personal Net5501, not yet upgraded. Kevin
