Ultimately, the solution to my problem was to buy the next "step up" card in Areca's line, the ARC-1210. I'm happy to report that it is working flawlessly. The flip side is that I've had quite the expensive experiment going here. I am now the owner of two 2-port PCIe RAID cards -- one that is known not to work with OpenBSD and one that should work but maybe needs some play time from the developers. I would like to sell one and donate the other. Which one should I donate to the OpenBSD devs and where should I sent it? 1. 3ware 9650SE-2LP (PCIe x8 2-port SATA) RAID card, or 2. Areca ARC-1200 rev. B (PCIe x1 2-port SATA) RAID card. both are fanless, but the Areca is almost half the size of the 3ware. If that makes any difference whatsoever... later. ryanc -- Ryan Corder [EMAIL PROTECTED]
