I have a soekris box that I have been using as my firewall/access point
for many years. It used to be an older no longer supported release. I
wanted to bring it up to 4.3 so I could upgrade to 4.4 in November.
The machine in the past has been rock solid, no issues whatsoever. I did
not upgrade, I did a complete install on a new cf card, migrated my
relevant policies and config files.
I have been experiencing some worrisome behavior: The machine randomly
rebooted 3 times since Saturday. I also lost my ssh session randomly. I
looked in the logs and don't see anything that stands out but perhaps I am
not looking close enough. I wanted to check if anyone has experienced
similar problems. Is there anything I can do to further debug the
issue?Can I change the behavior of a potential crash ?
Can you try the latest snapshots to see if you get the same issue ?
The current snapshots are "pretty close" to what 4.4 will be, any
issues you discover will be important to fix for a solid 4.4 in
November.
