I recently installed 4.4-stable and started using wireless with WPA2. Basic web browsing had been working fine all week, but today I started moving some files around via sftp and suddenly the link stalled. Log messages indicate resource problems with named but not a total link failure, since dhcpd still worked. Running ifconfig up/down appeared to fix the problem temporarily; I lost patience and found a wired connection after the second hang.
Is this somehow related to "Fix HW crypto on ral(4) devices." in the list of -current changes? Is there any additional information I can provide? Thanks. --david [snip from /var/log/daemon] Jan 24 12:19:47 www named[25693]: client 10.0.128.9#50328: error sending response: not enough free resources Jan 24 12:20:01 www named[25693]: client 10.0.128.9#57053: error sending response: not enough free resources Jan 24 12:22:24 www dhcpd[29360]: DHCPREQUEST for 10.0.128.9 from 00:1c:b3:c0:9e:66 via ral0 Jan 24 12:22:24 www dhcpd[29360]: DHCPACK on 10.0.128.9 to 00:1c:b3:c0:9e:66 via ral0 Jan 24 12:27:02 www named[25693]: client 10.0.128.9#52452: error sending response: not enough free resources Jan 24 12:27:17 www named[25693]: client 10.0.128.9#59183: error sending response: not enough free resources [da...@www david]$ ifconfig ral0 ral0: flags=8c43<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,OACTIVE,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 lladdr 00:1d:7d:34:0e:ec groups: wlan media: IEEE802.11 autoselect mode 11g hostap status: active ieee80211: nwid headcrabs chan 3 bssid 00:1d:7d:34:0e:ec wpapsk <not displayed> wpaprotos wpa2 wpaakms psk wpaciphers tkip,ccmp wpagroupcipher tkip 100dBm inet 10.0.128.1 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 10.0.128.255 inet6 fe80::21d:7dff:fe34:eec%ral0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x1 [da...@www david]$ netstat -niI ral0 Name Mtu Network Address Ipkts Ierrs Opkts Oerrs Colls ral0 1500 <Link> 00:1d:7d:34:0e:ec 897711 1124 1790425 1290 0 ral0 1500 10.0.128/24 10.0.128.1 897711 1124 1790425 1290 0 ral0 1500 fe80::%ral0 fe80::21d:7dff:fe 897711 1124 1790425 1290 0 OpenBSD 4.4-stable (GENERIC) #0: Sat Jan 17 23:04:52 EST 2009 r...@www.d33p.com:/usr/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/GENERIC cpu0: Intel Pentium III ("GenuineIntel" 686-class, 512KB L2 cache) 599 MHz cpu0: FPU,V86,DE,PSE,TSC,MSR,PAE,MCE,CX8,SEP,MTRR,PGE,MCA,CMOV,PAT,PSE36,MMX,FXSR,SSE real mem = 267993088 (255MB) avail mem = 250699776 (239MB) mainbus0 at root bios0 at mainbus0: AT/286+ BIOS, date 10/13/00, BIOS32 rev. 0 @ 0xfd790, SMBIOS rev. 2.1 @ 0xefa30 (49 entries) bios0: vendor Intel Corp. version "A11" date 10/13/2000 bios0: Dell Computer Corporation XPST600 apm0 at bios0: Power Management spec V1.2 apm0: AC on, battery charge unknown acpi at bios0 function 0x0 not configured pcibios0 at bios0: rev 2.1 @ 0xfd790/0x870 pcibios0: PCI IRQ Routing Table rev 1.0 @ 0xfdf20/192 (10 entries) pcibios0: PCI Interrupt Router at 000:07:0 ("Intel 82371FB ISA" rev 0x00) pcibios0: PCI bus #1 is the last bus bios0: ROM list: 0xc0000/0xf800 0xcf800/0x800 0xd0000/0x800 0xe0000/0x4000!
