Git tracks *contents* not files themselves. Empty directories don't have content so they are ignored by git. I too would like to see some nice BSD-licensed DVCS on OpenBSD. I think that would be a major project to accomplish and I think I'd rather see such energy go into developing OpenBSD, not developing the development process :) Timo
