I did a little more research on this today, using the latest snapshot (2009-09-06 I believe). Both the radeon and radeonhd X11 drivers have the same behaviour. Since there's no DRM I can only choose between 'none' and 'shadowfb' for AccelMethod. With 'none' things are incredibly slow; scrolling just a single line (e.g. with `more`) produces visible lag, as if one were doing it over a slow SSH session. The 'shadowfb' behaviour is as described previously. Fortunately I've figured out how to boost the performance of my Intel graphics card in the mean time until the ATI R600 chipset's DRM is supported in OpenBSD. -- Taylor Venable http://metasyntax.net/
