Very odd. This is a CDMA/3G/GSM/EVDO modem? Normally they show up as PCMICIA, USB, or PCI Serial devices. A lot of times the PCMCIA ones present a USB Host Controller which presents a UCOM and UMASS (with the drivers). I was just reading that the Cricket USB one has to have a special GNU/Linux driver that switches it from UMASS to UCOMM for PPP: http://www.ubuntugeek.com/how-to-setup-cricket-wireless-a600-broadband-modem-in-ubuntu.html Anyway, you may be a pilgrim on unholy lands. ~BAS
