I'm having Xorg crash problems and I'm trying to create a bug report. I read /usr/xenocara/README and did all the steps to build a debug version of X and a core dump, but /var/crash stays empty.

to be more specific, I recently upgraded from 4.6-release where my radeon rs780 igp work great with radeonhd. When i rebooted to current, radeonhd crashed X with crtc errors (Xorg.log included), and ati leaves the machine locally unresponsive. At first I thought it was a radeonhd error, so I tried upgrading openbsd to current and leaving xenocara at 4.6-release, as well as building and installing the latest radeonhd from git (with xenocara-current). Both still gave me the crtc
error.

after all that, I decided to go about the problem the right way and generate a bug report. I rebuilt xenocara so it was purely xenocara-current, then read the xenocara README and built radeonhd like this:

 $ rm /usr/xobj/xorg-config.cache.amd64
$ env CFLAGS=-g make -f Makefile.bsd-wrapper build (in the radeonhd driver folder)

then i set the 2 things that the README told me to set, rebooted so that the sysctl change would take, and ran:
 startx -- /usr/X11R6/bin/X -keepPriv  and
 startx --/usr/X11R6/bin/X -keepPriv (no space)
as root, but neither created a core in either /var/crash or the current directory.

at this point i decided to go for broke, and rebuilt xenocara using "env CFLAGS=-g" at the "make build" step. I then tried the startx command from README, but still no core. Any advice on how to get the goods for a bug report?
