It was such a pleasure working with and experimenting on OpenSMTPD. Had it up and running so fast due to the absolutely fantastic and logical PF-like configuration.
As soon as Dovecot enteren ento the equation pleasure - slowly but surely - turned into pain and frustration (having been at it for almost 2 days). I am not saying Dovecot stinks, I have had it running for years with Postfix, but that was a major pain in the ass to setup too. We need an OpenIMAP/POP for OpenBSD :)) Beoynd my C experience unfortunatly. Gilles and others: Maybe it is possible to expand OpenSMTPD with IMAP/POP?
