It's MUCH less expensive to buy the uniform tee-shirts, which the girls can
wear with jeans or a denim skirt. In our group, the parents are responsible
for purchasing their children's uniforms. For low income children, we have
a few WONDERFUL people in the church who will "sponsor" a child and purchase
their uniform and book.

Subject: [Miss] Missionette Uniforms

I wonder what other Missionette groups are doing about uniforms. Since the
changes last year, we are having problems providing uniforms for our girls.

Previously, with the old programs, we would provide the girls with the
uniform. When the girls outgrew their uniform or moved to a different club,

they would return them and we would re-issue them to another girl as long as

they were still in good shape. With all the uniforms changing at once, we
have not been able to raise enough money to provide 80+ girls with uniforms.

Our church is in the middle of a building project and the pastor has asked

us not to conduct fund raisers. I understand this, especially when the
local schools are asking the children to sell things at this time of year
also. We asked the parents to purchase the uniforms if possible. This has
not worked. We decided to try and make them only to find that Gospel
Publishing(Where we order our uniforms) does not sell the material nor the
pattern. Any ideas??????????

Thank you in advance for any suggestions.
