We need to STOP the e-mails that are dealing with the federal elections onto this group. Whether we elect Obama or McCain we as individuals have NO control over who wins the presidency our electoral college does. As per Bush v Gore the Supreme Court has stated the individual vote does nothing to determine the winner of this election.
We can discuss issues, local politicians and how to better the state and the city, however NOTHING we do is going to change how Washington D.C. operates unless we KICK everyone of them out and that isn't going to happen. The petty barbs on both candidates need to come to an end on this group since this wasn't what it was designed to do. If you think something is important enough that we should all read about it and it pertains to the federal election then do it via private e-mail. My apologies for not stopping this sooner and for my participation in such.
