A hearing will be used to gather information and determine the outcome for a
male pit bull that has been declared a vicious dog. The Vicious Dog
Committee will gather information and make a recommendation to the Director
of Public Health. This incident requires that a difficult decision be made.
This decision must take into account the life of an animal as well as the
safety of a neighborhood and the Greene County Animal Control Regulations
that are in place to protect the health and safety of the community.

Due to the limited space available for this hearing, the Springfield-Greene
County Health Department will limit attendance based on fire code
regulations. Space will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
To avoid disruption, there will be no real time tweeting or blogging allowed
during this event. Thank you for your cooperation.
