I'm not able to reproduce this error, using the same Debian package
running under Debian sid.
Can you run the following command and send me the output?

By the way, using this options I can load "runtime.cbf" without errors.
It looks like my heap size was 1203 before. I'll set SCHEME_COMPILER
with an explicit "--heap 400" option and see what happens.
