Dear Dan,
We have some problems using mi_tab with vb.net 1.1

I think the problem is related how mitab calculate the coordinates.

The first question, before all, is to know if you can fix bugs
quickly (if my problem is a bug) paying you of course.

The problem is very simple to reproduce. If is it necesary I can send
you an example but this is the problem:

---------------------------------------------------------------
I am using mitab 1.5 (last release), not 1.6.1.
We have a VB.Net 1.1 desktop application using MapxTreme that create
a map with lat/lon WGS84 with bounds ! Bounds for South America, so
the CentroidX and CentroidY of each point we insert has 13 or 14
decimals depending on the size of the bounds. We need Lat/Lon WGS and
a definition of milimeters !.
We save these centroids into a database directly like MapxTreme
return them (with all decimal !).

When we create a .tab using mitab with the coordinates saved
previously in the database, the points are create perfectly, BUT IF I
MOVE ONE OF THEM USING THE SNAP EXCATLY OVER ANOTHER POINT, WHEN I
MAKE A ZOOM THEY ARE NOT IN THE SAME POSITION !!

But .... If I create two new points in diferente positions and move
one of them over the other one, they are exactly one over the other.
This is becouse of Mapxteme created both points and so the
coordinates are correct.

It seems mitab, becouse of may be use another algorithm to create the
objet, these are created in other position and not exactly in the
original one (or exactly in the X Y coordinates used in Set_Points
function)

If we use cartesian or projected coordinates, the problem does not
exist.

My english is not good but I think you understand the problem.

Please tell me if you need more information, an example, etc and if
is it possible to fix this problem.

My email is [EMAIL PROTECTED] So please send me your answer
directly to my email so we can accord the fix and the cost if the
problem can be fixed.

Thank you very much !
Best Regards
