It was VC6. With VC7 (2003) everything works OK.
With VC8 (2005) a new (small) problem comes up. Compilation is fine, but you
get thousands of warnings unless these 2 defines are included:
#define _CRT_SECURE_NO_DEPRECATE 1
#define _CRT_NONSTDC_NO_DEPRECATE 1
Adding this to mitab.h is fairly easy, but there seem to be no single,
common header file for cpl and ogr.
