I downloaded a sample map of the Halton Region Municipality, Ontario
from StreetPro Canada. The demo is a MapInfo Professional workspace.
Then I tried using the TAB2TAB executable to convert the TAB files to
MIF in hopes of viewing it with some other open source app. Now I
followed the instructions and got the following Error:
(I have omitted the path information since that is not relevant)
Error 3: onhalts1.tab could not be opened as MapInfo dataset.
Any ideas or alternate routes? I am not opposed to doing this with the
code for MiTab (if I knew how to use MiTab to do the conversion).
