Hi Steffen,

as an example, the mitkLogoRendering is used for rendering a PNG logo in the
front of a widget. Here, the interaction with the widget still remains with the
"main"-renderer.

Note: In MITK > 0.8 rendering in MITK is directly integrated into VTK pipeline.
All MITK DataTreeNodes behave just like one single vtkActor/vtkProp.
See \mitk\Documentation\Doxygen\Modules\ModuleQVTKRendering.dox for detailed
documentation.

Regards,

Matthias

Betreff: [mitk-users] set a foreground renderer

Hi,

I have a question which is related to adding another renderer to a
renderWindow. I'm displaying a surface mesh and in the upper part of the
window, I integrated a 2D plot using
"...->InsertBackgroundRenderer(...)". It works perfect but I would like
to achieve a slightly different behavior. At the moment, my surface mesh
is rendered in front of the plot, i.e. it partially hides the plot. If I
insert the plot via "...->InsertForegroundRenderer(...)", the plot is
visualized in front of the mesh, which is exactly what I want, but I
cannot interact with the mesh anymore.

Any help is appreciated,
Steffen
