Hi,
the nodes in the datastorage do not have any inherent order. The Qt model will
impose a order for display in the tree widget. The rendering mechanism will
impose another order that is based on the "layer" property that each node
has/should have. Nodes are rendered from lowest layer value to highest layer
value. To make it even more confusing, a drag&dop operation in the tree view
will adjust the layer properties of the nodes.

Jochen

Hi Gerald,
well, you may want to argue with my colleagues if this behavior is more
intuitive :)
I will probably make a preference option out of it and let you know. In the
meantime, if you want to change this behavior on your own, have a look into the
class "QmitkDataStorageTreeModel".
This class is responsible for what is shown in the DataManager box.

Michael

Betreff: [mitk-users] Order of Data Manager entries
Hi,
is it easily possible to say the data manager that new etries will be added at
to lower end of the QTreeView list and not at the upper one?
It would be much more intuitive!
best regards
