Hi Fabian,
unfortunately this bug is still present in the latest MITK version but will be
fixed for the next release which will probably be in autumn.
A (kind of ugly) workaround would be:
- Use LiveWire tool for segmentation
- Confirm LiveWire segmentation
- Activate "Add-Tool" and simply click into the previously segmented
image slice
There is currently some work done regarding our 3D interpolation which will
also comprise the integration of the LiveWire tool (as mentioned above)

I would like to use the LiveWire tool in combination with 3D interpolation to
segment some MRIs (as it is also described here:
