Hi Matthias,

currently (includeing v2015.05.2) the loading of RTDose and RTStruct is only
available via the plugin org.mitk.gui.qt.dicom. So if you are using the normal
loading mechanisms, it will wrongly try to load with the normal
DICOMSeriesReader.

We have a bug report concerning that (see 19760) and a currently workning on
refactoring the DicomRT module (hopefully for the next release).

Please build the dicom plugin and test loading via that plugin. So far it
worked with the test data we tried.

Please mark the following:
1. There were several fixes concering rendering speed and stability of RT data
since 2015.05.2. So it might be worth thinking of moving to the current release.
2. Not all dose storing "styles" of planning systems are currently supported
(e.g. Helax).

Hope that helps.

Best regards,
Ralf

Betreff: [mitk-users] Reading DICOM RT Dose and RTSTRUCT

Hi guys,

I am running into some trouble reading RTSTRUCT. From the log I can tell
it's trying to load it into a mitk:Image (should probably be some
mitk::ContourModel or similar) and fails "due to some unspecified error...".
For RT Dose it's not applying the scale factor correctly (I guess),
since the Gy values are up to 10^6.

What is the current status on reading these extensions?
I am currently building my project on top of v2015.05.2. (Also tried the
newest release, but same result.)
Is there a dev branch which might support loading these extensions?

The files should be fine, since Slicer (4.3) can read them correctly.

Many thanks. Regards,

Matthias
