Hi,

the image navigator shows the world and index positions at the
crosshair. Unless the image is oblique and global re-init was done,
these positions are at voxel centres. Both the world coordinates and
the index coordinates are 'discrete'.

The status bar shows the world position from the mouse event and the
index position from the top-most image that is visible in the focused
renderer. So, the world coordinates are 'continuous' but the index
coordinates are 'discrete'.

Would it be worth making it more consistent either by

a) showing discrete world and index coordinates on the status bar as well
b) showing continuous world and index coordinates on the status bar?

In my opinion, discrete world coordinates would be better. I find it
less confusing when the coordinates are the same in the image
navigator and the status bar. Also, for my project voxel precision is
required.

However, others may find the more precise coordinates useful, e.g.
when working with point sets. I do not have such a use case, though,
so I do not know if it is actually useful or not.

I am looking forward to hearing others' opinion on this.

Cheers,
Miklos
