Hi Nathan,
take a look at the module QmlItems and discussions on the users list. There is a way to use mitk with QT QML which supports multi touch interaction. It's currently not actively supported by the MITK team as I asume but with a bit of coding and fiddling around you can come up with a really nice touch screen interface with mitk features underneath.

Cheers,
Ingmar

Hi Nathan,

we do not have explicit touch support, meaning that we don't have any code for this purpose in the MITK Workbench. The OS translates such events to mouse events though and this should work to some extent. I didn't test press-move-release (i.e. to interact with the render windows), but I can give it a shot tomorrow, as we have a multi-touch-TV in our division.

Best,
Stefan

Betreff: [mitk-users] Touch Screen Support?

Hello once again,
I'm curious whether MITK can work with touch screen devices? I'm guessing the OS will translate these touch events to mouse events? Not sure about X11/Wayland capabilities. I'm guessing X11 has no such capability. Let's just suppose we're talking about a Windows 10. What then?

Best regards,
Nathan Lay
