Hi Selva, the .nii format is able to preserve a 3D image volume, thats why you saw the image in all 4 render windows. The DICOM format usually stores 2D volumes, and to get a 3D volume again, you need a series of DICOM files.
To load and view your DICOM series in MITK, you don’t have to convert it into a .nii file. MITK is able to load a DICOM series correctly, since all associated files for this series are located in one folder. Then you would drag and drop the first file (or open the first file with the „open file“ button) in MITK. Be aware that using 4 views does not mean you need 4 DICOM images, instead you need the whole series of files which corresponds to the slice count.
