Hi guys,

I've spontaneously taken up the crusade of trying to make playlists work
for the 1.6.0 beta. I think we can come up with something clever that's
both easy to code (integrates well into the existing code) and useful.

The big question is this: What should "happen" when the user activates a
playlist?

I've figured out how to re-enable the playlist menu at the top of the
Mixxx window, but the tracktable's response to a playlist change is
somewhat undefined at the moment. The two ideas I have are this:

1) We could just "add" the songs from whatever playlist the user
selected onto the play queue. (ie. queue up the playlist) This is fairly
easy to code, but there's no way for a user to edit a playlist like
this.

2) We could have some sort of "Playlist" view in the track table, like:
[Combobox]-> Library, Play Queue, Playlist, Browse
The problem with this approach is that the play queue becomes somewhat
ambiguous, and it won't be obvious what the difference between the
"playlist" and "play queue" views are.

This whole playlist thing is just getting awkward. Does anyone have any
ideas for this? I can't really fix anything right now because I just
don't know the best way to deal with this.

Thanks, and looking forward to hearing ideas,
Albert
