Disclaimer: I am most definitely not an expert. But I think it must be reasonably up to date. I still use realtime-lsm on 2.6.22... one of the reasons I'm overdue a kernel update is that I discovered realtime-lsm was unceremoniously deprecated in later kernels and didn't know how to replace its function. Now I know. Cheers :) I've never used the rt patch on my kernel. The stock kernel supports realtime, but it looks like the patch tweaks it a bit. It's certainly not a no-op. Might give it a whirl when I have a few tuits to spare.
