Compiles (well mostly, see note below) on OS X and runs for me. Can you get me a backtrace? I've seen someone report something like this before with older versions of SVN and 1.6.0, and IIRC the backtrace is confusing. The debug messages make it look like it's a vinyl control problem, but I think the backtrace says it's something else that's weird. Because this seemed to have magically fixed itself for the people who reported this in the past, I wonder if it's some uninitialized variable somewhere. The other thing to try is removing your /usr/share/mixxx/ and /usr/ local/share/mixxx and making sure you do a sudo scons install again. Quick note: the qScriptDisconnect() and qScriptConnect() functions were added in Qt 4.4, so if you need to use them, we need to force Qt 4.4 as the minimum version. (Ubuntu 8.10 has Qt 4.4 so I don't think there would be any objections.)
