Hi guys,

I finally sat down last night and hammered out a SourceReader backend
for Mixxx. The good news is that it compiles, the bad news is that it
doesn't link on my Vista box. While 90% of the SourceReader API (from
Windows Media Foundations) is available on Vista, the 10% that is only
available on Windows 7 includes the part of the API that actually lets
you create a SourceReader. (They like... ran out of time to finish API
for the Vista launch or something?)

Anyways, being the last person on Earth still running Vista, I'm
snookered until I upgrade to Windows 7.

If anyone wants to take a crack at it in the meantime, the code is here:
lp:~mixxxdevelopers/mixxx/features_m4a_thehardway

It implements everything we need (opening files, playback, seeking,
closing, etc.), but since I haven't been able to do any testing, it's
probably only about half done.

Thanks,
Albert
