Hi,

I've been using the 1.10.0 beta for a few hours last weekend on my old
Thinkpad (XP 32bit, 1.6Ghz single core, 2GB RAM). Here are some
observations.

On the positive side, I've noticed a performance improvement,
especially with library interaction. The CPU usage spikes when
scrolling through the library are still there, but they don't result
in sound artifacts any longer as in previous versions, so I am quite
happy with 1.10. :)

On the negative side, I encountered some strange behaviour with the
(hot-)cue buttons: When I press it, the song starts playing at a lower
volume than I would exspect it to. Only after 2-3 seconds, it reaches
the normal volume level (and stays there). I guessed that this is
related to auto replay gain, but changing the setting here (initial
0db ord 6db or turn it of all together) didn't change anything for me.
Am I doing something wrong?
I haven't done any more detailed tests yet, but will do during the
next days and let you know.

And since I stopped lurking and this is my first posting to the
mailing list, let me introduce myself: My name is Martin, 32, based in
Mainz(Germany), DJing at some local CreativeCommons-music-only partys
from time to time and I'm very happy to use a DJing software which is
as free as the music I'm playing, so thanks to everyone involved for
the awesome work! :)

I also once wrote a little twitter plugin for Mixxx (I think it was in
1.7) so I could tweet the currently played song right from Mixxx while
DJ'ing. It worked, but was a bit of a dirty hack and not as stable is
it should have been, so I never released it. If you're interessted, I
could try to reimplement it in a clean way and share the code this
time (but at the moment I'm still having trouble to get it to compile
on XP... )

Greetings, Martin

All of the data generated in your IT infrastructure is seriously valuable.
Why? It contains a definitive record of application performance, security
threats, fraudulent activity, and more. Splunk takes this data and makes
sense of it. IT sense. And common sense.
