It think your third proposal is already proposed please see backward
from the list history are you having same kind of thoughs.
For the first and the second you should give some visual/text hints what
you want to do before they can be reviewed. There is lot left with
metadata handling but please submit little bit more information.

I am interested in applying for GSoC 2016 under Mixxx for Meta Data
tracking editor.
While I was reading the idea list, I found three improvements that can
be very usefull.
1. Improve metadata visualization (add more views like artists or albums)
2. Improve metadata multiple files editing (selecting two or more
files and changing a field changes the same field in all files)
3. Try to fetch better data from online sources (add last.fm
<http://last.fm>, or FreeDB as alternative sources).
I will be waiting for feedback.
