driver-zoran-0.9.3 crashes on the second try at recording video.
as a user (not root), I issued the command:
$ lavrec -in -fa -t5 test1.avi
then for the second try
$ lavrec -in -fa -t5 test2.avi
The second time, lavrec ran for about 3-4s, and then crashed.
At that point, the computer becam unresponsive to keyboard and mouse input.
I don't know how to trap this sort of thing, so I wrote it all down on paper.
After writing it down, I rebooted and grepped /var/log (as root) for some of
the words in the error:
# cd /var/log
# grep -R f9852a20 *
# grep -R c02de000 *
I didn't find anything. What I wrote down follows below. Keep in mind this
report has gone from screen to eyes to fingers to paper to eyes to fingers to
screen! (well, there's keyboard and computer between fingers and screen, but
you get the idea). If you can tell me how to trap this (or where to look for
it), I will be very grateful. Otherwise, I hope this helps you with the
driver.
Here it is!

some system info:
slack9-rc3
SuperMicro P6DBU (dual PIII)
1G RAM
linux 2.4.20 (source from slackware package; compiled on this machine)
Note I have not recompiled MJpegtools since 2/23/2003. Slackware-Current was
up to date when I rebuilt at that time.
If you think I should recompile avifile, jpeg-mmx, libmovtar,
quicktime4linux-patched, libdv, and MJpegtools, I will do it this weekend and
then try to repeat the error. If there are any other requirements I should
recompile before MJpegtools, please indicate what they are.
Good luck!
Tell me if there's any more info I can provide you.
